General Questions

What is a Notary Signing Agent?

A Notary Signing Agent (NSA) is a commissioned notary public who is specially trained to handle and notarize loan documents. NSAs play a key role in real estate closings by ensuring that all documents are properly signed, dated, and notarized.

How is a Notary Signing Agent different from a general notary?

While both are commissioned notaries, a Signing Agent has additional training and certification to handle complex loan packages for real estate transactions, often working with title companies, lenders, and escrow officers.

Are you certified and background screened?

Yes. I am certified and background screened through the National Notary Association (NNA), which is required by most signing services and lenders.

Can you explain the loan documents to me?
